Petzl Ascension jammer.

A handled version of the Basic hand jammer, especially favoured by those wearing thick gloves (mountaineers) or just with big hands...

The latest model has a moulded and padded handle (with two attachment holes, both sized for a small krab or maillon; unlike the basic). Heavier than the Basic, but more cpmfortable for some, and giving a longer reach. Also slightly facilitates some pitch head hauls in improvised rescues...but not as much as good training and practice...

NB take care if you use this on traverse or sloping lines, the twisting effect if the handle is weighted is significantly greater than with the Basic.
