Petzl Pantin RIGHT foot ascender

Petzl Pantin foot ascender. Jammer suited for the right foot. A very useful accessory for ascending long or awkward pitches. The Pantin is designed to run up the rope particularly smoothly, and to disengage easily when passing rebelays or at pitch heads. Generally held to keep a more upright and efficient prussiking posture - this saves energy, or improves speed; or both! Also very helpful in that it ensures that the Croll chest ascender runs over the rope reliably (using the Pantin on the rope underneath ensures that the rope is held under tension all the time). The latest version has a better cam design, and slightly redesigned body to allow the rope to run even more smoothly. This is, in fact, noticeable in use.
