Kong Banana descender

£38.00

Kong Banana descender.

Effective, versatile, non autolock descender for use on single ropes of diameter 8mm - 12mm.

Intuitive to use, no need to remove from harness to fix on rope. Copes very well with a variety of rope diameters and conditions when used with a braking karabiner.

A pleasure to use as a descender; it gives a smooth abseil and is very quick to use and master. It has a few interesting points:

1. The bend in the body allows slack rope to be pulled up through it more easily.

2. This shape also makes placing thick and heavy ropes in the descender marginally easier

3. The top and bottom bobbins are identical and reversable - you may still need to buy two for an expedition, but at least they will work both for the top and bottom, as well as reversed.

We will have spare bobbins in stock in the next month; changing them needs a 13mm spanner plus a *5mm allen key*
