Etche canyoning boots

£45.00

Etche canyoning boots.

Also entirely suitable for caving, these are a rugged set of footwear built to the same specification as the boots, but with four lace holes, and a slit and reinforced achilles, with an overall height of just under eight inches.

As with the boots, they have a very grippy tread, and no midsole, but do have a composite reinforced toecap. Trainer insoles are a great aid to comfort in these, as in all caving boots (how many shoes do you have, now, without insoles?)

The lace up ankle makes for greater support, and prevents grit entering easily (especially compared to cut - down wellies). They drain immediately and feel a lot lighter than full sizes boots - an advantage in long aqueous trips, and also where there is a lot of SRT to do.

(See the relevant section in 'Alpine Caving Techniques' for a fuller discussion of footwear for expedition use)

As canyoning boots, these have received good feedback, and their relatively small number of seams appears to make them less inclined to come apart in use, compared to those with a greater number of constituent parts.

WE ONLY KEEP A SMALL NUMBER OF THESE BOOTS IN STOCK, SOMETIMES IT IS NECESSARY TO ORDER SOME SIZES IN. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU REQUIRE THEM AT SHORT NOTICE.
