Petzl Torse chest harness

Petzl Torse chest harness. A simple and lightweight bit of kit, consisting of a single vertival tape strap which attaches to the back of -pretty much any- sit harness (uses a plastic quick release buckle). At the top it joins with an easily adjustable tape sling (uses the standard aluminium rapid adjust buckle) which passes over the shoulders and joins on to the top hole of the chest jammer. Some people (especially women) like this as it does not press on any sensitive bits, while still being supportive. It also allows a 'crunched over' on-rope prussiking position, to be changed to a more upright posture quite quickly.

NOTE that the Torse seems, anecdotally, to be less comfortable for those who have long backs or who are tall. If in doubt, contact us to talk about it!
