Little Monkey

Little Monkey caving light. Very compact, very light (under 250g!), and durable LED helmet-mounted lamp. There are four power settings: 1. One hundred hours at 20 lumens; 2. thirty six hours at around 50 lumens; 3.thirteen hours at 140 lumens; and 4.four and a half hours at 367+ lumens. The single LED gives a pretty tight spot beam, and subjectively 'looks' even brighter than the figures suggest. There is a reasonable spill of light out from the centre, too; not the even flood of a Viper, but noticeably greater reach. The switch is protected at the back of the headset, and the Little Monkey has a battery charge indicator as part of its function (one to four flashes) so that a caver can check the state of charge without taking the helmet off. Comes with car charger, smart mains charger, and battery fixings. Spare batteries are available for those using the Little Monkey on expedition; these are easily changed mid trip. A converter for AA batteries is also available on request, as is a spade attachment for those who wish to remove the whole light from their helmet. There are now a few really good, high quality caving lights on the market. The Little Monkey is certainly one of them, and adds to the choice available to cavers who really like to see what they're doing...
