Blizzard survival blanket small
£17.00

Blizzard survival blanket small

Blizzard survival bag small. The same material as the larger blanket, and the bag, but less of it. Less coverage, and lack of the sticky edging to create a snug fit around the body, make this a less comfortable proposition than the other two products in this line. It is, however, lighter and significantly cheaper; and still much warmer than a single layer of plastic sheeting. Incidentally, a good way to stop your belayer getting hypothermic in the course of a protracted bolt climb...
Driver for M8 bolts, for cavers
£23.00

Driver for M8 bolts, for cavers

Driver for M8 bolts, caving type. Low profile driver for placing the 8mm self drill anchor. Pivoting handle to facilitate turning the driver while placing the bolt. Replaceable tip may be purchased separately when the thread strips.
Maillon Rapide 7mm long opening
£2.80

Maillon Rapide 7mm long opening

Maillon Rapide, 7mm long opening. Galvanised steel. Standard rigging maillon; generally held to be the best balance of strength, weight, and price. For long term rigging, stainless anchors may be more suitable. These maillons are not sold with relevant instructions and therefor are not PPE.
MTDE Spikit bolting bag
£15.00

MTDE Spikit bolting bag

MTDE Spikit bolting bag. Possibly the best of its kind, anywhere... Neat, made to fit hammer, driver, cones and anchors, drill bits and not much else. The storage of cones and anchors is very good and makes them genuinely hard to lose.Hang it off the Garma chest harness for a really user - friendly setup.
Raumer Action hammer
£41.00

Raumer Action hammer

Raumer Action bolting hammer. Well made, effective hammer traditionally used in placing M8 and similar bolts. Raumer Etrier Step
£3.80

Raumer Hang Fix M8L
£1.65

Raumer Hang Fix M8L

Raumer Hang Fix M8L stainless anchor. Stainless caving anchor of the 'through bolt' variety. Two expanding collars increase security, making it very suitable for caving in terms of bolting up and also setting anchors for pitches - but not for climbing anchors to take big leader falls. Requires a drill, or Rocpec type hand drill, to place it. Best bit is probably the Hilti four tip; 120mm long is just right and avoids over drilling - which wastes battery life Strength 20 - 22Kn depending upon direction of load.
Raumer M8 bolts
£0.50

Raumer M8 bolts

Raumer M8 bolts. For use with Raumer Minox, Ring and Wing hangers, complete with washer to hold it in place. These are steel. Stainless bolts are also available, although they cost slightly more.
Raumer Minox hanger
£1.90

Raumer Minox hanger

Raumer Minox hanger. Stainless steel twist hanger for use with M8 bolts. For use with karabiners, this hanger can be used in Y hangs to hold rope clear of the rock, to create free hangs. Supplied without a bolt, to allow the user to choose between spit type placements and through bolts (both can be purchased separately). Strength 22KN, applied either parallel and perpendicular to the rock.
Raumer Rainox anchor
£1.10

Raumer Rainox anchor

Raumer Rainox anchor. Like a spit (same dimension), but stainless and not self drilling. Advantages? A couple. Number 1: place this, and it should last a lot longer than a spit, and it will also work for subsequent parties using the traditional and widely used 'bolt and hanger' arrangement. Number 2: if you are placing your hangers by drill, this anchor does not require that the holes be finished off by hand to flatten off the end of the hole - just drill, and tap in. Number 3: the wedge and anchor are joined - you can't drop half of the arrangement down the pitch by mistake (although you can still lose the whole lot, if you like) NOTE: to use this, you need also the 'Striker'(article Rm131) to place the bolt. See the relevant description to see why it's needed - but don't worry, this kit is pretty cheap and reusable as well. NOTE AGAIN: you can place this by hand, but you'll want a Rocpec or similar to make the hole. Phil Rowsell - who does a lot of bolting - suggests the Hilti four tip bit for most applications. In this case a 12mm diameter one will be needed.
Raumer Rainox striker
£1.50

Raumer Rainox striker

Raumer Rainox Striker. Use with the Rainox anchor (article Rm130). When the hole is drilled, screw this small steel item into the anchor, place the anchor in the hole, and then the Striker forms the striking surface. Hit it squarely with your hammer (as with all the spits you've ever placed)and this will expand the cone in the end, and fix the anchor in place. Remove Striker, screw in bolt with hanger, off you go. NOTE: buy at least two if your rigging relies on this - and check that the threads are protected in transit.
Raumer Ring Hanger
£4.00

Raumer Ring Hanger

Raumer Ring hanger, stainless steel. Traditional ring hanger, able to take loads equally well both parallel and perpendicular to the rock. Also made for use without maillons or karabiners as the rope can tie in directly without damage in normal use. The Raumer Ring has the advantage that it takes the standard bolt which can also be used with other Raumer plate hangers. Sold without the bolt to allow the choice of using through bolts instead of spits. Strength 22KN in both alignments.
Raumer Spanner
£8.00

Raumer Spanner

Raumer Spanner. Two ended spanner (open and closed) complete with drilled hole for lanyard. For use with M8 bolts on the Raumer Minox and Wing hangers. NB the illustration shows the previous version, one ended spanner!
Raumer Stick Up
£26.50

Raumer Stick Up

Raumer Stick Up. Alloy bar used with etriers (sold separately)to facilitate aid climbing. It allows a significant amount of extra progress to be made with each bolt placed, but is small and light enough to transport easily through a cave. Works up to the vertical, not for steeply overhanging ground. Requires two oval karabiners to fit the clipping in points.

Spit' M8 self drill rock anchor
£1.50

Spit' M8 self drill rock anchor

Spit' M8 self drill rock anchor. Classic two part anchor used for setting belays in rock, using an anchor driver and hammer (also available).
